| the finest growing region in the world |
Where do the majority of our potatoes grow? The finest region in the world for growing potatoes is in the Pacific Northwest. Our area is unique for several different reasons. First off, the Columbia River provides an abundant supply of water through the irrigation system completed in the late 1940’s. In addition to our water, the rich volcanic sandy soil provides the ideal conditions to grow potatoes. Harvesting averages 30 tons per acre, which is twice as much as the average yield in the United States. During the peak growing in the summer, our long hot days and cool nights help to create the perfect climatic conditions for growing a high quality potato. |
| standards |
Every product that is processed meets or exceeds USDA’s grading specifications. Whether the product you buy is a line flow, long fancy, extra long fancy, or premium cut, you can be assured it will have passed the standards. It starts with the raw product, as each potato is graded on size, and then passes through state of the art processing equipment. From peeling to cutting, sorting, blanching, frying, drying, freezing, packing and finally shipping, your product will have passed through a tightly controlled system. In addition, critical control points along the line maintain the highest quality of standards found anywhere in the processed potato industry.

| flexibility |
Because we believe in treating each customer’s individual needs, we offer a level of flexibility and attention rarely adhered to in today’s industry. As an agricultural product, potatoes are no different from any other crop in being affected from various factors season to season. Whether it is the weather, consumer demand, or any number of numerous influences, we have the ability to source from different growing regions. In addition to the U.S., we may supply product from Canada, Europe, or Asia. This allows us to maintain a consistent supply to our customers, which is extremely critical for international markets. |
